Questions have arisen about how we can continue to support the Church through our Weekly Offerings. This can either be mailed into us (P.O. Box 6076, Fort St. John, B.C.  V1J 4H6) or if you do Online Banking you can add "St Lukes UC" to your list of payees and then send an EFT to our Church address: stlukesunitedchurch@gmail.com Please make your Security Question an easy one for our Treasurer, Byron Godberson, to easily figure out. Once the EFT is accepted you will receive a confirmation email.

We thank you for helping us to continue our work in our community as we move through this time of trial knowing that God, is walking beside us on this journey.

LIVE, LOVE, & WORSHIP IN OUR FAITH!

Located in the heart of Fort St. John, British Columbia's oldest northern interior community, we share space with the Fort St. John Presbyterian Church.

We are a warm, welcoming congregation that invites you to come and worship with us!

MISSION STATEMENT

St. Luke's United Church comes together in loving friendship to celebrate God's presence among us and to live out the love of Christ in community.

ABOUT US

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”  ((Leo Buscaglia, American author))

You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending. (attributed to CS Lewis & others)

Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me (Psalm 31:3)

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love . (1 Corinthians 13:13)

UCW (United Church Women) -

is open to women of all ages in the congregation.  Our mission is to Love God; to foster Christian Faithfulness, Spirituality, Commitment, and Devotion, and to promote love and respect by living generously and giving joyfully to all God's people; and to affirm and strengthen ourselves creatively.

Outreach -

We support the Women’s Resource Centre & Salvation Army,  with various donations.  By communicating with those whom we come into contact with during our personal daily activities, plus those whom we network with, we hope that everyone will find it in their hearts to give food, clothing, or personal toiletries, for both young and old.   We are community minded and believe in giving our gifts and talents to making the world a kinder, gentler place.  Many of our members are active volunteers in varied community organizations and we encourage everyone to share their talents in helping those in need. God gave us these unique talents, not to be used strictly for personal gain, but to share with others so that we will create healthy, loving and caring communities.

Christian Education and Faith Formation & Sunday School  -

SUNDAY SCHOOL  SUSPENDED DUE TO CURRENT HEALTH CONCERN OF COVID-19

Let us remember to celebrate daily all that is good in the world!  Do not let our worries, stresses, and encumbrances burden us, causing us to lose sight of the new beginnings. Remember that 'this is the day that the Lord has made and be glad in it" .

As Jesus prayed for his disciples, asking that they be protected during their teachings of the words handed to him by the Father, may we pray for ourselves, so that we understand those words and follow in his footsteps, spreading love, caring, and understanding throughout the world.

"Your talent is God's gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God"
(Leo Buscaglia - American author)

"When it comes to life, the critical thing is whether you take things for granted or take them with gratitude". (GK Chesterton, author)

The Grace Card Quote:  "I promise to pray for you every day, ask your forgiveness, grant you the same, and be your friend always" (For it is by Grace you have been saved Ephesians 2:11)
